Design, Finish and Heritage

Febur has long been the name in Italian specialist swingarm fabrication, and the FE1459 + FE716 represents the pinnacle of that tradition. The profile is derived directly from the ZX-10 R WSBK programme, retaining the visual language of a works machine while being engineered to accept the original Kawasaki rear wheel via the 25 mm axle variant. The aluminium surface carries the restrained, purposeful aesthetic that defines genuine track hardware — no unnecessary cosmetic additions, just the clean lines of a component designed to function under race conditions at the limit.

Performance and Construction

At 6.7 kg the swingarm delivers a meaningful reduction in both sprung and unsprung mass compared to the factory unit, and because every kilogram removed from the swingarm has a disproportionate effect on chassis response, the gains translate directly into feedback and agility through fast changes of direction. Note that the original Kawasaki brake caliper is not compatible with this configuration; a racing caliper and appropriate bracket must be used. The 25 mm original-wheel variant includes chain tensioner sliders, the original-wheel bush, speed sensor bracket and brake caliper bracket, making it the preferred choice for track-day riders wishing to retain stock rear wheel and sensor hardware.
