DescriptionThe whole story▼
A FIM-homologated exhaust at 105 dB, tested on World Supersport circuits with the Orelac team — and it will not fit a standard motorcycle. Spark says so in capitals, and it is the first thing to settle before anything else.
Key Features
- Full titanium WSSP replica system for the Ducati Panigale V2 955/959, 2016 to 2024.
- FIM-homologated exhaust system at 105 dB.
- Two rectangular silencers under the seat.
- 5.9 kg against 11.6 kg standard.
- Designed to further reduce decibels while keeping performance.
- Not compatible with the stock motorcycle.
Four Things It Will Not Fit
Spark prints the restrictions in capitals and they are absolute: not compatible with the stock motorcycle, not with the stock licence plate holder, not with the stock radiator fan, and not with the passenger footpegs.
Read that list as a specification rather than a warning. This is a system for a Panigale V2 that has already been converted to track use — plate holder removed, fan changed, pillion pegs gone. On a road-registered bike none of it works, and the alternative that does is GDU8837T, which is the same architecture built to fit the standard machine.
What FIM Approval at 105 dB Is
The FIM sets the noise ceiling for international motorcycle racing, and an approved system is one measured and listed against that standard. 105 dB is the figure Spark publishes for this exhaust.
It is a racing credential, not a road one. It tells a scrutineer the system has been measured to an international standard; it does not replace an EC certificate and means nothing on a public road. For a bike being prepared for a championship it is the number the paperwork asks for.
Rectangular, and Where the Shape Came From
The silencers are the rectangular cases Spark originally designed for the Ducati 848, 1098 and 1098S. Reusing them here is not a shortcut — a rectangular section packs more absorbent volume into the space under a Panigale's tail than a round one of the same height.
That is why Spark describes this kit as designed to further reduce decibel levels while ensuring outstanding performance. The shape is what lets a 105 dB system exist without choking the engine, and it was proven on SSP600 circuits with the Orelac team before it reached the catalogue.
One Cable You Will Need
To reinstall the original lambda sensors, Spark specifies extension cable 0CAVO002 — a twenty-centimetre extension that is not supplied with the system. Order it alongside.
Fitment & Compatibility
Ducati Panigale V2 955, 2020 through 2024, and the Panigale 959 from 2016 through 2019, on a converted motorcycle only. The version that fits the stock bike is GDU8837T. The stainless-header WSSP replica is GDU8853T. The Grid-O and Moto GP underseat systems are GDU8832T and GDU8833T.
Road Approval
None. FIM approval is a racing credential — the system has no EC certificate and no catalytic converter.
