DescriptionThe whole story▼
Drawn directly from SC-Project's years at the sharp end of the Superbike World Championship, the S1 semi-complete exhaust system transforms the Ducati Panigale V4/S into a sharper, lighter, and more responsive machine. The 2-1 titanium configuration, CNC-machined titanium sleeves, and TIG-welded segmented bends deliver race-department engineering in a package that fits without compromise on the 2018–2020 Panigale V4 and V4 S.
Key Features
- Gains of +14.2 hp at 13,750 rpm and +12.5 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm over the standard system, measurably sharpening acceleration and mid-range response
- Weight saving of 4.0 kg — SC-Project system weighs just 1.7 kg versus 5.7 kg for the OEM unit, directly improving handling and chassis balance
- Tapered titanium collector with welded segmented bends optimises exhaust gas flow across the entire rev range
- 70 mm outlet for maximum flow efficiency and the distinctive, unfiltered racing note SC-Project is known for — 116 dB at 6,500 rpm, no db-killer fitted
- Carbon fibre end cap combines extreme heat resistance with a purposeful racing aesthetic
- CNC-machined titanium sleeves and TIG-welded joints throughout ensure precise fitment and long-term durability under hard track use
Performance and Construction
Thin-wall titanium construction is the foundation of the S1 system. By using the same grade of titanium SC-Project employs in its WSBK-homologated hardware, the system sheds mass without sacrificing structural integrity. The reduction in unsprung and rotating weight translates into quicker steering responses and reduced heat build-up in the airstream around the engine — a genuine handling benefit beyond the headline power figures.
The tapered conical silencer body is not merely an aesthetic choice: the profile is tuned to control internal pressure waves, reinforcing the torque curve at 6,500 rpm where the additional 12.5 Nm is felt most acutely in real-world corner-exit scenarios. Paired with the welded segmented collector, the entire exhaust path from header flange to exit is engineered as a single aerodynamically coherent unit.
Sound Character
At 116 dB measured at 6,500 rpm with no db-killer, the S1 produces the deep, full-throated racing soundtrack the Panigale V4 engine is capable of but which the standard system suppresses. The 70 mm outlet diameter is a deliberate choice to maximise acoustic projection without compromising flow velocity. This is a dedicated track system — every tuning decision prioritises performance and sound over road compliance.
Important Notice
This exhaust system is designed and approved for racing use only. It does not carry road-legal homologation and must not be used on public roads. Fitment and use are the sole responsibility of the owner and installer.
