The Shiver 900 is Aprilia's middleweight V-twin naked. The JP CO AP009 replaces its combined throttle housing and switch block with milled Ergal.

Ride-by-Wire Before Almost Anyone
The original Shiver arrived in 2007 as one of the first production motorcycles with an electronic throttle, years before it became standard. Aprilia's willingness to put new technology into a mid-price bike is a recurring theme and it was ahead of the market here.
Eight Hundred and Ninety-Six Cubic Centimetres
The 2017 revision took the 90 degree V-twin out from 750 cc, adding torque where a naked bike uses it. The Shiver 900 makes 95 hp and delivers it with a character that no parallel twin in the class approaches.
An Underrated Motorcycle
The Shiver never sold in the numbers its ability justified, partly because Aprilia's dealer network was thinner than its rivals'. Good examples are consequently cheap and their owners tend to be evangelical about them.
Housing and Switch Together
The right-hand controls sit inside the throttle assembly. Renewing either means renewing both, which this unit does as a single machined body plugged into Aprilia's own connector.
The Sensor and the Bore
Because the throttle is electronic, the housing holds a position sensor. A bore that is cut rather than cast keeps the tube's rotation consistent, and on a bike now several years old that difference is measurable.
Four Anodised Finishes
Black, red, blue and titanium, converted into the surface rather than applied over it. A drop dulls the component instead of exposing bright aluminium underneath.
Rain at Road Speed
No fairing and no screen. Water reaches the controls directly and stays, and sealed elements inside a housing with no moulded seam are the only meaningful protection the switchgear gets.
