DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP PDQ KT016 E additional handlebar switch in Bronze gives a KTM 1290 Superduke RR (2020-2023) running a Jetprime quick throttle somewhere to put the indicator and horn controls the conversion removes, machined and finished to match the RR's limited-run detailing.
Key Features
- KTM 1290 Superduke RR (2020–2023)
- Fits KTM 1290 Superduke RR (2020-2023) exclusively
- Mounts directly on the Jetprime quick throttle body
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal, bronze anodised finish
- Plug and play with the original wiring connector
- Carries the controls a quick throttle conversion displaces
- Not usable as a standalone handlebar switch
Why This Switch Exists
Fitting a quick-action throttle to the RR removes the factory right-hand switchblock along with whatever it carried. The functions do not disappear with the old housing; they need a new location, and this unit supplies it without asking the rider to run two separate blocks side by side on an already crowded bar.
Machined, Not Moulded
The body starts as a solid block of Ergal and is cut down on a CNC centre rather than injection moulded, which is why the edges stay sharp after repeated removal for track-day servicing. Bronze anodising is applied after machining, so the colour sits in the metal rather than on a coating that can chip.
A Run-Specific Fit
KTM built the RR in limited numbers with carbon bodywork and a lighter overall package than the standard Super Duke, and the switch is cut to match that exact model's connector and mounting geometry rather than a generic Super Duke pattern that happens to be close.
Wiring Without Compromise
The loom plugs into the original KTM connector, so nothing on the bike's harness is cut or spliced to accommodate it. Removing the unit later, if the throttle itself is ever changed back, leaves no trace on the stock wiring.
Bronze Against Carbon
On a bike finished mostly in exposed carbon weave and factory orange, a bronze-anodised switch block reads as a deliberate material choice rather than an aftermarket patch, which matters on a motorcycle built in small enough numbers that owners tend to notice any part that was not simply carried over from the standard range.
