DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Multistrada is the machine in this range where the rubber pads earn their keep. A V4 S spends most of its life on tarmac at speed, and a bare toothed titanium peg under a road boot on a long autostrada stretch is not a pleasant thing.
Key Features
- Cast in one piece from Grade 5 titanium in Akrapovic's own foundry
- Octagonal profile with a Y-shaped reinforcement
- Central teeth over a wide surface, for control when standing
- A pair of rubber pads included for road comfort, fitted without tools
- Covers the Multistrada V4 from 2021 and the V2 from 2025
- Reduces vibration on tarmac with the pads fitted
- The original mounting hardware must be reused
Two Sides of the Same Bike
Ducati sells the Multistrada as a motorcycle that does both: a V4 Rally with a 30 litre tank and off-road modes, and a V4 S that is closer to a fast sports tourer. Akrapovic's answer is a peg that can be either.
Teeth exposed, it is an enduro platform. Pads on, it is a comfortable road peg that damps vibration through the boot. Neither state is a compromise, and the change takes no tools.
V2 and V4 Are Not the Same Years
The Multistrada V4 has taken this set since 2021. The V2 in its current form arrived in 2025 and takes it from then. An older V2 — the 937 twin sold from 2022 — is a different machine with a different peg mount.
Check the model year on your registration document before ordering. The names alone will mislead you here.
Cast in Grade 5
Akrapovic casts these in its own foundry from Grade 5 titanium, the aerospace alloy. The one-piece construction with a Y-shaped internal reinforcement is what gives a peg this light the stiffness to stand on.
Corrosion resistance matters on a Multistrada more than on a pure off-road bike. This is a motorcycle ridden through winter and washed with pressure hoses, and titanium is indifferent to both.
Fitting Notice
Akrapovic requires that the original mounting hardware be reused. Keep the pins and clips when the standard pegs come off.
Vibration Through the Boot
Akrapovic names vibration reduction as a purpose of the rubber pads, and on a Ducati V4 that is a specific claim rather than a general one. A 1158 cc V4 at motorway revs puts a high-frequency buzz into the chassis, and the footpegs are one of the three places a rider feels it.
A bare titanium peg transmits that directly. The pads sit between the metal and the boot and take the edge off it, which over four hours is the difference between arriving fresh and arriving with numb feet.
The Rally Case
Ducati's Multistrada V4 Rally is a genuinely capable off-road machine with a 30 litre tank and spoked wheels, and it is the version that will use the teeth. Owners of that model can leave the pads in the box.
The rest of the range — V4, V4 S, V4 RS and the V2 — will mostly want them on.
