DescriptionThe whole story▼
The 125 class is where many teenage motocross riders spend their formative years, and for many families it means weekends at the track with a van, a gazebo and a parent acting as mechanic. The TM Racing MX 125 two-stroke is one of the bikes built for that class. Accossato's B8206 replaces its front brake lever on the bikes from 2001 to 2019. It is CNC-machined from Ergal 7075 in Italy, and its blade can fold forward at a hinge when the bike goes down.
Key Features
- Folding front brake lever for the TM Racing MX 125 two-stroke, 2001 to 2019
- Covers both of Accossato's version groups, 2001–2009 and 2010–2019
- Fits the original front brake master cylinder in place of the stock lever
- Shorter blade shaped for three fingers
- Anti-break hinge lets the blade fold forward in a fall
- Machined from solid Ergal 7075 in Italy
- Blade in black, blue, gold or red on a dark base
- No German ABE documented; for motocross and off-road use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato mills the B8206 from a solid block of Ergal 7075, an aluminium alloy chosen for its high strength, on CNC machines in Italy. The company describes the aim as a lever that is strong, light and reliable, qualities that count on a bike raced every weekend. Its two parts are a dark base, fitted to the master cylinder, and a blade in black, blue, gold or red, joined to it by a hinge. The brake blade is short and intended for three fingers.
A Family Race Team
Behind many young racers stands a parent with a toolbox. Between motos the bike is washed, checked and adjusted in the paddock, and anything bent in a crash is straightened or replaced before the next gate drop. Levers are among the most frequent casualties, because young riders fall often while they learn. A family that goes racing most weekends of the season soon keeps a box of spare levers in the van and watches the box empty.
A folding lever changes that routine a little. When the MX 125 two-stroke slides out in a corner or tips over in a rut, the blade of the B8206 can swing forward on its hinge instead of snapping or bending, so there is a fair chance it can be pushed back into place and the rider sent out again. That saves time between motos and money over a season. It will not survive every crash, and a lever that has taken a heavy knock should still be checked, but for a family team on a tight budget, fewer broken levers means more left over for tyres, fuel and entry fees.
Fitment and Compatibility
Whether your TM Racing MX 125 two-stroke was built in 2001, in 2019 or in any year between, the B8206 is listed for it; Accossato divides that span into two version groups, split between 2009 and 2010. The lever goes on the original front brake master cylinder. From 2010 on, the C7283 folding clutch lever is also available; for older MX 125 two-strokes only the brake lever is listed. Gold is a brake-only colour, orange a clutch-only one.
Road Approval
The B8206 has no documented German ABE. Like the MX 125 two-stroke itself, a competition motocross bike without road registration, it is intended for tracks and closed off-road ground.
