DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Kawasaki VN900 Classic is a relaxed V-twin cruiser, ridden at an easy pace with feet forward and plenty of chrome to polish. Accossato's AGPA95 front pad in the Organic mixture fits the VN900 Classic from 2006 to 2021, including the Classic SE of 2011 to 2021. It suits owners who ride through town, cruise to the coffee stop and want a smooth, quiet front brake that takes care of the disc and the bike's looks.

Key Features

  • AGPA95 front pads for the Kawasaki VN900 Classic, 2006 to 2021
  • Organic mixture, article AGPA95OR
  • Accossato: long-lasting performance, low disc wear
  • Smooth, progressive lever feel
  • Quiet at cruising and walking pace
  • Responds well from cold
  • This plate also comes as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
  • No German approval on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes this mixture as one that keeps working for a long time and wears the disc only lightly. On a cruiser whose owner values a clean, unmarked brake disc, that is a welcome trait. The maker also notes that its pads keep heat down to limit fade and that they stop with conviction. The Organic friction layer is bonded to the AGPA95 plate.

Cruising Pace

A VN900 Classic is rarely ridden hard. It rolls through villages, pauses at traffic lights and idles along a sea front. The front brake is used lightly and often, and a quiet pad with a gentle take-up fits that rhythm. It also makes it easy to bring a heavy cruiser to a smooth stop without the fork diving abruptly.

When fitting new pads, clean the caliper and pistons first, then press the lever until pressure returns. A few gentle stops afterwards help the pads bed in. Keep polish and wax well away from the disc.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA95 for the front of the VN 900 Classic from 2006 to 2021 and the VN 900 Classic SE from 2011 to 2021, both shown in our garage as the Kawasaki VN900 Classic. The rear pad is AGPP251 for 2006 to 2021. No Accossato disc is catalogued. The VN900 Classic uses a single front disc, so one box covers it.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or approval certificate for AGPA95OR. It is supplied for competition purposes.
