DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Diavel was never only a boulevard bike. Between 2011 and 2018 many owners took it on long tours, and for 2013 and 2014 Ducati even offered the Strada version with a touring screen and luggage. Touring means fuel stops, and forecourts are among the slipperiest surfaces a rider meets: diesel spills, polished concrete and tight turns around the pumps. The TP046 crash pads from Accossato are listed for the Diavel of 2011 to 2018, the Strada included; they are machined from aluminium, and their anodised inserts come in six colours, with matching screw covers if you want them.

- No German ABE; for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The TP046 pads are machined from aluminium, and each carries an anodised insert. You choose from blue, green, black, red, silver or gold, and if you want a screw cover, it comes in the same colour. The pack holds two pads. Accossato notes that some bikes need drilled bodywork to accept its pads, without saying which. For the Diavel, send us a note before ordering, telling us whether yours is a standard bike or a Strada, and we will clarify it.
At the Fuel Pump
Fuel stations are designed for cars. The forecourt is often sloped for drainage, the concrete is smooth, and a thin film of diesel left by lorries stays invisible until a tyre slides on it. A rider manoeuvring a Diavel around a pump, with the bars at full lock and one foot searching for grip, can lose the bike in a second, and two-up with luggage it is even harder to hold. Approach the pump in a straight line where possible, look out for dark, shiny patches and avoid putting a foot down on them. Put the bike on its side stand before getting off, and have the passenger dismount before you refuel. Should the Diavel go down on the forecourt, the pads are there to meet the concrete before costlier parts do, which can limit the bill. Afterwards, inspect them and replace one that has been badly scraped.
Fitment and Compatibility
The TP046 is listed for the Diavel from 2011 to 2018 and for the Diavel Strada of 2013 and 2014. For the front, Accossato also offers the PF030 axle sliders, given for 2012 to 2015. Rather surprisingly, our catalogue also shows the same pads for a Suzuki, the DL650 V-Strom. The drilling question is settled with you before the order.
Road Approval
Without a German ABE or test documents for the TP046, we sell it for racing and other competition use.
