Benelli has been at home in Pesaro since the early twentieth century, and the Imperiale 400 is the model that shows its history most openly: a single-cylinder classic with spoked wheels, a round headlamp and chrome in the places where a 1950s motorcycle would have worn it. On a bike like this, any replacement part should respect the style. The Accossato EDF016 is a CNC-machined aluminium front brake lever that fits the Imperiale's original master cylinder and has an adjustable reach. Accossato lists it for 2019 to 2021.

Construction and Material Quality
The levers of a 1950s motorcycle were usually cast or forged and then polished. The EDF016 is made the modern way. Accossato mills it from solid aluminium on CNC machines and anodises it, which gives it a durable coloured surface that never needs polishing. The hub is black on every version and carries the pivot and the reach adjuster. The blade is fixed, a single rigid piece without a hinge, just as levers were in the old days, but cut to modern tolerances.
An Old Name on a New Single
The Imperiale is designed to look as if it came from Benelli's past, and that look is a large part of its appeal. A lever with a bright orange blade would be an odd note on such a bike. Silver is the natural choice: next to the chrome and the spokes it reads as polished metal, while the black hub disappears against the switchgear. Black is the other classic option, discreet and close to the look of the standard part. Gold can work too, if your Imperiale has warm tones in its paintwork. As for length, the standard blade suits the relaxed riding position and the unhurried pace at which the Imperiale 400 is usually ridden. Riders with smaller hands can bring it closer to the grip, and the short silver blade makes the lever more compact without leaving the classic theme.
Fitment and Compatibility
The EDF016 appears in Accossato's catalogue for the Imperiale 400 from 2019 to 2021. It fits the bike's own front master cylinder and takes over from the lever Benelli supplied. Only the right-hand side is covered here, because a matching Accossato clutch lever for the Imperiale is not in our range.
Road Approval
