Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Zontes 368G (2025–2026) SM295S

Of the five machines sharing this airbox, the 368G is the exception. It is the only one Sprint Filter lists for the T12, the extreme-conditions material at 7 µm and 560 l/m²/sec, and the only one for which the dust nonwoven is not catalogued at all. The other four have a middle step available to them. This one has the standard weave, and then a jump straight to the far end of the range.

Two answers with nothing between them

The T12 was drawn for air carrying sand and mineral dust in quantity: unmade tracks in a dry season, riding inside somebody else's cloud. It keeps far more out and lets far less through, and both halves of that sentence matter, because filtration and flow always move against each other. Choosing it here means accepting something close to one ninth of the flow figure quoted above. On maintained surfaces that is a payment with nothing bought in return, since the load a road machine gathers is not the load that material was made for.

Which one a 368G is asking for

Most of them are asking for this one. The extreme material earns its keep in conditions an owner can usually name in advance — a working track, a dry season somewhere dusty, a route that leaves tarmac by design rather than by accident. Where the week is mostly sealed road with the occasional gravel car park, the standard weave is the specification, and choosing it is not settling for less. Neither material makes the engine stronger; a panel filter in an unmodified box has no route to that. They differ in what they keep out and what they let through, and the 368G is the one machine here allowed to pick either end.

Care and cleaning

Blow the element through from the clean side outwards so the collected dust exits by the route it entered. Where the deposit is oily rather than dusty, warm water and a mild detergent will release it; rinse until the water leaves clear. Dry only in circulating air at room temperature — heat in any form, a flame or a warming cabinet included, destroys the weave invisibly — and refit the SM295S dry, with no oil, spray or dressing of any kind.
