Design, Finish and Heritage
Sitta has built its reputation on sprockets that satisfy both the scrutineer's eye and the stopwatch. The 201Z is machined to tight tolerances, and every anodised colour variant — from understated silver to vivid gold — is applied as a proper hard-anodised layer rather than a cosmetic dip. Hard-anodising penetrates the aluminium surface rather than sitting on top of it, producing a finish that resists corrosion, chain wear and road debris far longer than conventional anodising. The result is a sprocket that looks purposeful from new and stays that way through a full season of hard riding.
Gearing Strategy
Choosing the right tooth count is one of the most cost-effective performance adjustments you can make to any GSX-R. Fitting a smaller sprocket in the 37–42 tooth range shortens overall gearing, raising top speed and easing engine revs at motorway pace — a popular choice for track days on longer circuits. Moving to the 43–47 tooth range lengthens gearing in the traditional sense, sharpening acceleration out of slower corners and giving the engine more to work with on technical layouts or spirited road riding.
