Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 21630-09

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension A 43 mm

Dimension C 56 mm

Dimension B 53 mm

Where It Sits

Öhlins gives it as 43 mm, 53 mm, 56 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Top caps carry the adjusters and the preload mechanism. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping. A marked inner tube destroys seals repeatedly until it is replaced.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 21630-09 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. The published dimensions are dimension a 43 mm, dimension b 53 mm, dimension c 56 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Öhlins fork parts are specific to the fork model, not interchangeable across the range. Axle clamps and lower legs are machined to hold the axle without distorting the fork.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21630-09

Category: Fork Parts

Dimension A: 43 mm

Dimension B: 53 mm

Dimension C: 56 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21630-09_7821b72e-e2e0-49d2-8baf-94a04fa5e1ac.png?v=1788877323
