The JP MJ 017 is a two hundred gram module for the Imperiale that does one thing: it lengthens or shortens the injector pulse the standard controller decided on.

Benelli's 374 cc single is built to look like the nineteen fifties and to be as simple to live with as that suggests. Nothing about it is in a hurry.
Constant Throttle Surging
A lean cruise setting produces a slight hunting at steady speeds that riders learn to ignore. It is the most common complaint about modern fuel injection and it is the thing a fuel module is best placed to address.
Injector Opening Time
Everything a fuel module does comes down to holding the injector open fractionally longer or shorter than the standard controller intended. There is no other mechanism and no magic in it; the precision comes from knowing by how much and when.
No Software to Learn
It is worth repeating because it is unusual: this product has no user interface at all. It is plugged in and then it is forgotten about, which is why it suits owners who are not looking for a project.
Who Should Not Buy One
An owner with a standard exhaust, a recent motorcycle and no complaint about how it runs. There is no reason to fit a correction to something that is already correct.
Honest Diagnostics
A motorcycle whose controller has never been written to reports faults properly for the rest of its life. That is a quiet advantage that only shows up when something goes wrong.
If Something Goes Wrong
Unplug it and the motorcycle is standard. That single sentence is worth more during a diagnosis than any amount of documentation, and it is not true of a reflashed controller.
