The electronics cover closes the sensor and wiring area on the engine case. On an M1000RR that area contains the hardware behind the rider aids the motorcycle is sold on, and the cover over it is what stands between a control unit and a gravel trap.

Scrutineering Wants Something Else
A cosmetic cover of this kind is not what most race regulations mean by engine protection. Series that require it specify a proper secondary cover of a defined material, usually retained by its own fasteners independent of the original case bolts.
This article is not that, and it should not be bought as if it were. It is the finished-motorcycle version of the part, appropriate on a road-registered M or a track-day machine, and it does not replace what a technical inspector is looking for.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW M1000RR, model years 2023 through 2026, on the original cover fixings. The same article serves the S1000RR of the same period. Check clearance against any engine protection already fitted.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It covers without opening or altering the engine case, but confirm the position for your own registration before road use.

Electronics, alternator and clutch covers sit in a row along the engine, and they are the run of parts most visible when the fairing comes off in a paddock. One in carbon and two in black plastic draws the eye to the odd one out rather than to the material.
There is no discount for all three and no technical reason for it. It is purely about how the motorcycle reads with its bodywork removed, which on an M is more often than on anything else BMW makes.
