DescriptionThe whole story▼
Two brake codes cover the 250EXC-F and their spans cross for six seasons, which sounds like a catalogue error and is not one. Fitments are confirmed machine by machine, not decreed from a drawing office, so a part that has been verified on bikes from 2013 onwards can sit alongside an older entry that was verified on bikes up to 2018. Accossato's AGD316 is the later of the two, a silver front brake lever in the original form, listed from 2013 to 2023.
Key Features
- Front brake lever of the original type for the KTM 250EXC-F
- Accossato's entry runs from 2013 to 2023 and includes the factory edition of 2015
- Silver
- Right-hand side, front brake
- An original spare parts type rather than a performance part
- Accossato states that its manufacturing process improves resistance after damage
- One lever per pack
- No approval papers on file; for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Shape is the specification here. The AGD316 is built to the outline of the brake lever the 250EXC-F carries as standard, which is what allows it to work with the perch and the master cylinder already on the bike and to leave the cockpit looking untouched. Accossato puts it among its original spare parts types, a programme developed to keep everyday repairs affordable, and states that the way these levers are produced leaves them more resistant once they have taken damage or a collision. Silver is the colour listed. Everything else about the part is unpublished, and unpublished is how it is left here.
The Overlap Between Two Brake Entries
An overlap of this kind is common in spares catalogues and it is not a trap, provided nobody orders on the model year alone. Production changes rarely fall neatly between seasons: a new master cylinder or a revised perch can arrive in the middle of a run, and a maker that has confirmed both parts on machines from that period lists both. For the owner the practical question is not which entry is newer but which blade is on the bike. Start at the pivot end, because that is the half that has to sit in the bracket and act on the piston; the curve of the blade is the second thing to look at and the length is the third. Take the lever off, lay it on a plain surface with a good light, and photograph it from directly above with the bar pointing straight ahead. Compare that against the pictures on the product pages, and if the two entries still look equally plausible, send us the photograph together with the model year and we will say what we can see. Where a 250EXC-F has been rebuilt, or where the papers and the parts disagree, the photograph is the only reliable answer anyway. It costs a couple of minutes and prevents the two outcomes nobody enjoys: a return to organise, or a lever that almost fits, discovered on a Saturday morning.
Fitment and Compatibility
On Accossato's list the AGD316 covers the 250EXC-F from 2013 to 2023, while the AGD10 is given for 2006 to 2018; the seasons from 2013 to 2018 therefore appear under both, which is the situation described above. The clutch side is covered by the AGS14 from 2006 to 2023. The AGD316 is one of the most widely shared codes in this family and is listed with us for the Husqvarna FC 350, the Husqvarna FE 501 and the Husqvarna TC 250 among others. Accossato's CNC levers for this machine are the B8283 and the C7283.
Road Approval
We have no approval documents for the AGD316, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark can be shown, and the lever is offered as a part for racing and competition use.
