DescriptionThe whole story▼
Every hard enduro has a section that riders talk about afterwards, and very often it is a boulder field: a slope or a stream bed covered in rocks the size of footballs and bigger, with no clean line through. On a Husqvarna TE 250 the two-stroke's low-down pull and agility help, but the rider decides whether the bike keeps moving. Momentum, balance and standing on the pegs are the keys. The enlarged Ergal footpegs Accossato makes for the TE 250 of 2014 to 2016 are available in six colours.

Construction and Material Quality
In Accossato's own words, this is an enlarged footpeg in Ergal, for motocross, enduro and off-road bikes. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy. The enlarged surface under the boot is the purpose of the part, and in rocky terrain it gives the foot a steadier place to stand while the bike moves around beneath it. Two pegs, left and right, make up the set, and for the TE 250 of these years the colours are orange, blue, green, black, red and Titanium.
Through the Boulders
Rocks punish hesitation. A bike that slows to a crawl in a boulder field tends to stall, drop into a gap or bounce off to one side, so riders try to carry a steady, moderate speed and keep the engine pulling. On the TE 250 that means a low gear, a careful clutch and a throttle that stays open. The rider stands with the knees bent, looks a few metres ahead rather than at the front wheel, and lets the bike find its own way over the smaller stones while steering it around the bigger ones.
Putting a foot down is tempting and often a mistake, since a boot on a wobbling rock can slip, twist or be caught by the footpeg. Experienced riders keep both feet on the pegs as long as possible and use their weight instead, shifting it to keep the bike upright. That puts a lot of load on the feet, and a broad peg gives the boot a secure base. Pegs take knocks in boulder fields too, so after a hard section check that they still fold and return cleanly, and replace any that have bent.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this FR795 for the TE 250 of 2014 to 2016. For the TE 250 of 2017 and 2018 our shop has the FR798. Compare the photos and colours of the two sets, check the model year of your bike, and ask us if you are unsure which one you need. The same FR795 is also listed for the FE 450, the FC 350 and the KTM 125 EXC.
Road Approval
We have received no ABE or comparable approval for the FR795, so we offer it for competition.
