DescriptionThe whole story▼
For many enduro riders the season has a clear beginning: the first dry weekend of spring, when the bike comes out from under its cover after months in the garage. A Husqvarna FE 350 from 2014, 2015 or 2016 has usually seen a good number of seasons already, and the first ride of a new one is a good moment to look at the parts that do their work quietly, the footpegs among them. Accossato offers enlarged Ergal footpegs for these FE 350 model years, with a choice of six colours.
Key Features
- Enlarged footpegs by Accossato for the Husqvarna FE 350 of 2014 to 2016
- Ergal: a high-strength aluminium alloy
- A fresh, broad base under the boots for a new season
- Suitable, according to Accossato, for motocross, enduro and off-road riding
- Orange, blue, green, black, red or Titanium
- Pair of pegs for the left and right side
- Accossato offers separate sets for the FE 350 from 2017
- No ABE available; for competition
Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato tells us about these pegs fits into one sentence: they are larger-than-standard footpegs in Ergal, meant for motocross, enduro and off-road bikes. Ergal belongs to the high-strength aluminium alloys, and the enlarged form gives the sole more support than a narrow peg. For the 2014 to 2016 FE 350 the pegs come in orange, blue, green, black, red or Titanium, and every set contains a left and a right peg. There is no further technical information from the maker, and we add none of our own.
Waking the Bike After Winter
A bike that has stood for months needs a little attention before it goes back on the trail. Riders who put it away properly in autumn, clean, dry and with the chain oiled, have an easier start; others find mud from the last ride of the year still hardened around the pivots. Work through the FE 350 methodically: fresh fuel if the old has been standing, tyre pressures, chain tension, brakes, cables and the controls. Fold each peg up and release it. If it returns slowly or sticks, the pivot needs cleaning, and the spring may need replacing.
Fitting new pegs at this point makes sense if the old ones are worn smooth or bent. Take the pegs off, clean the mounting points on the frame, look at the original pins and springs and keep them if they are sound, then assemble with a light smear of grease on the pivot. The first ride of the year should be an easy one anyway, because the rider's body has had a winter off too. Use it to get used to the broader pegs, check the position of the gear lever and brake pedal, and look everything over again once you are home.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's application list divides the FE 350 into three groups by model year. The FR795 on this page is intended for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 bikes; the FR798 follows for 2017 to 2023, the FR809 for 2024 to 2026. Make sure you know the year of your FE 350, compare the photos and colours of the sets, and get in touch with us if anything is not clear. We also list the identical FR795 for the FC 350, the TE 125 and the KTM 125 EXC.
Road Approval
We have been given no ABE or other approval paperwork for these footpegs. They are sold for use in competition.
