Come back from a warm evening ride and look at the leading edges: visor, shoulders, the front of the sleeves. That film is a record of the air the ride passed through, gathered by the same forward motion that fed the intake. Care and cleaning

The routine is an air line held to the clean side and worked outward until the medium gives its load back. Where the dirt is oily, lukewarm water with a mild detergent lifts it and a full rinse finishes the job. The element dries in circulating air at room temperature, never with a heat gun and never over a flame, and the PM160P14 is refitted dry and untreated.
