DescriptionThe whole story▼
A straightforward upgrade that pays for itself at every service interval, the LighTech SCV004 swingarm spools give BMW S1000RR owners a secure, rattle-free lifting point without any need for adapters or improvised solutions. Supplied as a pair with all fitting hardware included, they screw directly into the swingarm's existing M8 threaded bosses and are ready to use the moment they arrive.
Key Features
- Direct M8 thread fitment into the swingarm — no adapters, no fuss, no wasted time in the garage.
- Compatible with all V-head paddock stands and racing roller stands, making them equally useful at home or in the pit lane.
- CNC-machined aluminium construction combines durability with a weight saving over steel alternatives.
- Available in six anodised colours — Black (SCV004NER), Red (SCV004ROS), Silver (SCV004SIL), Gold (SCV004ORO), Cobalt (SCV004COB) and Green (SCV004VER) — so they can complement or contrast your bike's livery.
- Supplied as a matched pair complete with fitting bolts, so everything needed for installation is in the box.
Everyday Usability
For any rider who carries out their own tyre changes, chain maintenance, or brake work, reliable and repeatable lifting is the foundation of a safe working environment. The SCV004 bolts sit flush and secure in the swingarm, protecting the surrounding paintwork and providing a positive contact surface for the stand's V-head on every lift. There is no rocking, no slipping, and no risk of the bike toppling because a makeshift solution has shifted under load. Whether the bike lives on a paddock stand in the garage all week or only goes onto the stand once a season for a service, the LighTech spools make the job quicker and safer every time.
Build Quality
LighTech manufactures the SCV004 from CNC-machined aluminium with a hard anodised finish that resists corrosion and everyday abrasion. The threading is cut to precise tolerances so engagement with the swingarm bosses is smooth and positive — there is no cross-threading risk that can arise from poorly machined aftermarket alternatives. The colour anodising runs through the surface layer rather than sitting on top of it, meaning the finish holds up through repeated use and washing without flaking or dulling.
Compatibility Note
These spools are designed exclusively for BMW S1000RR variants fitted with M8 threaded bores in the swingarm. They are not suitable for single-sided swingarm configurations or for any model year that does not feature dedicated spool mounting points. Please verify your swingarm thread size before ordering.
