DescriptionThe whole story▼

Not every adventure jacket is waterproof, and even those that are can be overwhelmed on a long day in heavy rain. The Leatt ADV Rain Cover jacket is a lightweight, packable over-jacket that goes on top of your riding gear when the weather turns. Its HydraDri EVO membrane is rated at 20,000 mm, and the whole jacket packs into a compression bag small enough to live permanently on the bike.

The Camo Black/Grey print gives the rain layer a distinctive look instead of the usual plain shell.

Key Features

  • HydraDri EVO 2.5-layer membrane, 20,000 mm waterproof / 20,000 g/m² breathable
  • All seams taped and Suter pressure tested
  • YKK AquaGuard zips with additional storm flaps
  • Extra-large storm cuffs that fit over riding gloves
  • Rear exhaust vent releases heat and moisture
  • Access pockets to reach the layers underneath
  • Packs into a compression bag that also holds the Leatt rain pant

Built to Go Over Your Gear

The jacket is designed to be worn over your riding gear. Extra-large storm cuffs pull over your gloves so water cannot run up your sleeves, and access pockets let you reach the pockets of the jacket underneath without taking the rain cover off. Internal pockets add space for small items.

Waterproofing

Leatt specifies a HydraDri EVO 2.5-layer membrane with 20,000 mm waterproofing and 20,000 g/m² breathability. All seams are 2.5-layer taped and Suter pressure tested. YKK AquaGuard zips with an additional storm flap close the main openings. A rear exhaust vent lets heat and moisture escape without letting water in, which helps on long rainy rides when you are working hard on the bike.

Packing and Carrying

The jacket folds into its own compression bag. The bag is large enough to hold the matching Leatt rain pant as well, so a complete rain set takes up a single small package. An attachment loop on the bag lets you strap it to luggage or the outside of a backpack, ready for the next shower.

Visibility

Reflective details help other road users see you in low light and grey, rainy conditions, which is exactly when a rain cover is in use.

Who It Suits

The Rain Cover is a sensible addition for riders with a ventilated or mesh adventure jacket, such as a FlowTour, and for anyone who wants an extra layer of security on long trips with uncertain weather. Sizes run from S to 4XL.

What you should know

The ADV Rain Cover is a weather layer only. It has no protectors and no EN 17092 certification, so it must be worn over certified riding gear. It is sized to fit over a riding jacket; check the size guide with your jacket in mind. The jacket weighs about 900 g. It is shipped in plastic-free packaging.

Colour

Camo Black/Grey uses a soft, cloudy camouflage print in charcoal, slate blue-grey and black across the whole jacket, with black cuffs, a small grey Leatt label on the chest and reflective details. It looks noticeably different from plain black rain shells and hides spray and road dirt well.
