DescriptionThe whole story▼

Developed alongside professional riders competing in the British Superbike Championship and the Isle of Man TT, the K-Tech DDS Pro shock absorber sets a genuine race-level benchmark for the Yamaha YZF-R6 RJ11 and RJ15 (2006–2016). Manufactured in Great Britain to exacting tolerances, it brings the precision of factory suspension engineering to road and track riders who refuse to compromise on safety or control.

Key Features

  • Five-way adjustability covering compression, rebound, BPV, hydraulic preload and length — every parameter dialled for your exact riding style and circuit
  • Direct Damping System (DDS) technology with a slim piston rod maintains consistent damping behaviour across a wide temperature range, reducing the risk of unpredictable handling under hard use
  • 32-mm piston delivers finer, more progressive damping control for improved rear-wheel grip and confidence-inspiring feedback
  • 16-click BPV (ByPass Valve) adjustment targets low-shaft-speed sensitivity, allowing precise tuning of the shock's response to subtle chassis inputs
  • Potentiometer mounting points integrated for race telemetry compatibility, enabling data-driven suspension analysis
  • CNC-machined high-end components throughout for maximum precision, longevity and consistent performance under repeated hard use

Race-Proven Engineering

K-Tech's DDS Pro has been continuously refined through campaigns in leading international racing series. The Direct Damping System separates the damping circuit from the main body in a way that reduces heat build-up and keeps oil viscosity — and therefore handling — stable lap after lap. The 32-mm piston is significantly larger than OEM equivalents, giving the valving stack more surface area to work with and translating directly into more granular, repeatable adjustment.

With 32 clicks of compression adjustment and 32 clicks of rebound adjustment available, riders can work methodically through setup changes in response to tyre condition, track temperature or riding position. The hydraulic preload adjuster removes the need for a C-spanner, making mid-session ride-height changes straightforward even under paddock conditions.

Installation & Safety

To ensure the full performance and safety potential of this unit is realised, K-Tech strongly recommends installation by an authorised K-Tech Service Centre. Correct fitment requires specialist tooling and professional expertise; improper installation may compromise chassis geometry and rider safety.
