DescriptionThe whole story▼
A KX450F still turns up on the start line of many regional races, often ridden by someone who has raced it for years and knows every quirk. Accossato's AGPA51 front pad in the Sintered mixture fits the Kawasaki KX450F from 2006 to 2022. It is the compound for riders who race in every weather and want the front brake to feel identical whether the day starts with frost or ends in heavy rain.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA51 for the Kawasaki KX450F, 2006 to 2022
- Sintered mixture, SKU AGPA51ST
- Accossato: steady grip at low and high temperatures
- Works well on a wet disc
- Predictable from the first lap
- Also offered as OR, STMX and EV1
- No ABE held by us; sold for racing
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato emphasises a high and constant friction level across temperatures and good wet performance for this compound. For a veteran KX450F racer, that promise means a lever that responds as expected in the first corner of a cold, damp morning. The company also designs its pads to limit heat and fade while stopping firmly. The sintered block is bonded to the standard AGPA51 plate.
Racing Through the Seasons on a KX450F
A long-serving KX450F rider tends to race whatever the forecast says. That means spring rounds in the mud, summer sand and autumn meetings on waterlogged tracks. A front pad that grips consistently through all of that removes one variable from an already busy race day.
Older calipers benefit from extra care in wet seasons. Clean off dried mud after each event, check the dust seals for tears and look at the disc for rust pits after the bike has been stored. When pads are replaced, fit both at once and flush the fluid if it has darkened.
Fitment and Compatibility
Model years 2006 through 2022 of the KX450F share this front reference in Accossato's list. Racers who want matching hardware can pair it with DK060, the Accossato disc catalogued for the bike, and with AGPP106, the rear pad Accossato names for the 2006 to 2018 machines. Inside the box you get one caliper set. Because a long model run can hide small variations, hold your old pads against the new ones on the bench.
Road Approval
AGPA51ST comes without an ABE or other German approval document that we could provide. It is intended for motorsport.
