Chromed is the most reflective of the seven finishes Accossato offers on the PZ016, a look that stands out at the back of the bike rather than disappearing against the swingarm or wheel. The caliper underneath is the same CNC-made, rear-only axial unit, built to an 84 mm distance between mounting centres and a 16 mm offset, with two 34 mm aluminium pistons, a dust seal and a pair of AGPA42 organic pads fitted as standard rather than sold separately.

Construction and Material Quality
Chrome plating is an electroplated metal layer rather than the oxidised colour coatings used on the other six PZ016 finishes, built up over the CNC-machined body once the pistons, dust seal and pads have already been fitted inside it. The underlying aluminium body, shaped on five-axis equipment and measured on three-dimensional lab machines during manufacture, is identical whichever finish is ordered, so the plating sits as a separate layer on top rather than replacing any part of the caliper's construction.
A Rear Caliper Meant to Be Seen
Because most riders look down at the front end of a bike far more often than the back, a chromed rear caliper tends to catch the eye mainly in photographs taken from behind or from a low angle, which is part of why Accossato offers chrome alongside six oxidised colours rather than as the only finish on the PZ016. The choice changes nothing about how the caliper performs, only how it reflects light once it is bolted onto the bike, the same pistons, dust seal and pads sitting underneath every one of the seven finishes.
Fitment and Compatibility
Fitment data for the PZ016 covers 51 models in our garage, see the Fitment tab, a list that takes in the Aprilia RSV4, the Tuono V4 1100 RR and the Ducati Hypermotard 821 and 939 among 77 total applications logged for the caliper. Should the bike in question fall outside that count, matching the 84 mm mounting centres, the 16 mm offset and the rear disc thickness against the caliper is the way to confirm fit before buying.
Road Approval
No ABE is held by Accossato for the PZ016, so fitting it to a road-registered motorcycle in place of the original rear caliper needs to be cleared with the responsible registration authority first. The rear brake is part of the overall braking system, so the work should go through a qualified workshop.
