DescriptionThe whole story▼

Where several Accossato 19 mm master cylinders use a folding lever, the CY023 is built with a fixed, rigid lever instead, and this listing covers the natural anodised body. The piston is 19 mm, sized for dual-disc front brakes, and the pivot sits at a fixed 18 mm, a distance Accossato rates for track use that also suits the road. Because the lever does not fold, it stays rigid against the body at all times rather than tucking flat.

Key Features

  • 19 mm piston diameter for dual-disc front brake systems
  • Fixed 18 mm lever pivot, for track use and also suited to the road
  • Rigid, fixed lever in black, not a folding design
  • Natural anodised aluminium body, left in its machined finish
  • CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
  • Offset riser that limits body flex under hard braking
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals in Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato machines the CY023 body from aluminium and leaves it natural anodised, the same finishing step used across its unplated range, and fits a rigid lever rather than a folding one on top of it. Stainless steel secures the lever to the clamp, the bleed valve is zinc-plated steel and the seals are Formula 1 compound. An offset riser built into the mount resists the body flexing as the lever is pulled hard, and the internal bore is shaped to reduce the lever's passive travel by more than half against an ordinary radial cylinder.

A Rigid Lever, Both Lengths with the Eyelet

Choosing a fixed rather than folding lever means one less moving joint at the pivot, which some riders prefer for a more direct feel under braking even though the lever can no longer be folded flat for transport. On this natural-finish CY023, both the long and the short lever are fitted with a relieving eyelet (RST), so the two lengths differ only in reach rather than in hardware, unlike some folding-lever versions in the range. Buyers pick long or short at checkout; because both carry the eyelet, the decision comes down to hand size and bar position rather than hardware.

Fitment and Compatibility

83 motorcycles are confirmed for the CY023, among them the Ducati Panigale V4 S, BMW S1000R, Honda GL1800 Gold Wing, Kawasaki ZZR1400 and Suzuki GSX-S1000, all listed with their model years in the Fitment tab on this page. The same fixed-lever 19x18 cylinder is also available as a separate product with a nickel-plated body for a brighter finish.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 19x18 radial brake master cylinder with the rigid fixed lever in black, available long or short, both fitted with a relieving eyelet (RST), in the natural anodised body finish. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included.
