DescriptionThe whole story▼

Y13909400BCC is the dark one. Termignoni's racing system for the YZF-R7 with black stainless steel collectors and a silencer made entirely of carbon fibre, a combination that reads as part of the bike rather than an addition to it.

Key Features

  • Full racing system for the Yamaha YZF-R7, 2021 to 2026.
  • Black stainless steel collectors with a full carbon silencer.
  • Manufacturer figures: up to 2.8 hp more and 3.4 kg less.
  • Runs on the standard map, no remap needed.
  • Supplied with a removable dB killer and a lambda plug.
  • Not road legal — for closed circuits only.

Why black on the R7

Below the R7's fairing the headers, the collector and the swingarm area sit in a zone the eye reads as dark: black frame, black engine cases, black wheels in many colour schemes. Bright stainless pipework draws a line through it. Black collectors continue that lower half of the bike back to the rear wheel, so what stands out is the carbon silencer and nothing else.

Same system, different surfaces

The gas path, the gain and the weight saving are the ones Termignoni give for both Y139 versions. In our shop the black and carbon version costs noticeably more than the stainless and titanium one. That money pays for the finish on the collectors and for a carbon can instead of a titanium one. It is an aesthetic decision, and a perfectly reasonable one, but it will not show on a dyno.

Carbon at the edge of a circuit

A carbon silencer is light and stays cool to the eye, but it treats a low-side differently from titanium: titanium scuffs and dents, carbon can crack. On an R7 that does regular track days, a crash bung or frame slider on the right-hand side is a sensible companion purchase.

Practical points

No new calibration is needed, the dB killer can be removed for events without a noise limit, and the lambda plug seals the sensor port. Termignoni note that Euro 5+ bikes may display a dashboard error once the catalyst is gone. First deliveries are planned for October 2026.
