The darkened version of Spark's Euro5+ Trident system. Black ceramic on the pre-silencer box, a dark-style Moto GP silencer behind it, and the same reworked headers and racing catalyst that carry the newer approval.
Key Features
- Euro5+ homologated full system for the Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660, 2025 to 2026.
- Black ceramic treatment on the pre-silencer box.
- Moto GP silencer in dark style.
- Header length and diameter reworked for the Euro5+ engine.
- Racing catalytic converter with high noble-metal loading.
- Same list price as the Scotch-Brite version.
Why the 2025 Systems Cost More
Spark's homologated systems for the newer Trident sit around three hundred and fifty euros above the equivalent for the 2021-2024 machines, and the reason is development rather than inflation.
Euro5+ tightened what an exhaust has to achieve. Spark modified the header in both length and diameter to optimise gas flow and improve engine response, and developed a new racing catalytic converter with a heavier noble-metal impregnation to satisfy the standard. Those are new parts, not recertified ones — which is why the earlier system cannot simply be relabelled for a 2025 bike.
Where the Ceramic Goes
Spark applies the black ceramic treatment to the pre-silencer box, and fits a dark-style silencer behind it. The two are different treatments because they are different components.
The box is the large stainless surface hanging in plain view under the engine, and it is the part that discolours first — bare stainless goes blue-brown around the hottest section within a season. Ceramic bonds to it and survives the grit and salt a low component collects. The silencer is a separate assembly, and dark style is how Spark finishes that.
Same Price, Different Motorcycle
Spark charges identically for this and the Scotch-Brite stainless GTR8831TOM. Nothing mechanical differs, so the choice is only about how the exhaust should read against the bodywork.
Brushed stainless makes the collector part of the motorcycle's shape. The darkened version lets the bike carry the colour and leaves the exhaust as an outline. On a Trident in a dark colourway the second is usually the more coherent result.
Ready as Supplied
Spark developed this configuration to maximise power and delivery without any modification to the mapping or the ECU. No dyno time, no flashed map, no error codes.
For a motorcycle still inside its warranty period, and serviced by a dealer, that is worth more than any figure on a chart.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660, 2025 through 2026. The Scotch-Brite stainless version is GTR8831TOM. With the 60's silencer the system is GTR8830IOM, or GTR8830BOM in Black Series. The racing titanium alternative is GTR8832T. For the Daytona 660 the equivalent is GTR8829DOM.
Road Approval
Euro5+ homologated. Legal for road use as supplied, with no ECU modification.
