The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 06106-02

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. A worn end eye bearing is a common source of rear-end vagueness that gets blamed on damping. The eye takes the entire load path from wheel to chassis. Top eyes with an integrated preload adjuster are listed as one part.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 06106-02. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Öhlins machines many eyes from the same billet as the damper body. Öhlins machines the eye from the same billet as the body on many units.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06106-02

Category: End Eyes

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06106-02_d993dfe7-a3cf-4815-9eec-8b3d6c7aef53.png?v=1788874872
