DescriptionThe whole story▼
Transforming the MV Agusta F3 675/800 from a capable road weapon into a genuinely adjustable, track-ready machine does not require a complete suspension overhaul — the K-Tech DDS Closed Cartridge Kit slots directly into the original fork legs and delivers race-proven damping control that rewards everyday riders and trackday regulars alike, without the cost or complexity of aftermarket forks.
Key Features
- 30-way independent compression and rebound adjustment gives a wide tuning range from comfortable commuting to aggressive trackday use
- Patented DDS (Direct Damping System) eliminates cavitation, so damping response stays consistent lap after lap or mile after mile
- 20 mm piston and 31 mm pilot valves maximise oil flow for precise, sensitive damping control at all speeds
- 18 mm preload adjustment allows fine spring rate matching without swapping springs
- 8 mm piston rod reduces system offset and keeps the fork geometry true to the original design
- Increased travel compared to the standard cartridge for improved feedback over real-world road surfaces and track kerbs
- Race-validated in the British Superbike Championship and at the Isle of Man TT
Engineered for the F3's Factory Fork
K-Tech designed the DDS Closed Cartridge Kit specifically around the MV Agusta F3 675 and F3 800 fork architecture covering model years 2012 to 2026. Because the cartridge is built to match the host fork's internal geometry, installation is clean and the resulting damping characteristics integrate seamlessly with the bike's chassis balance. The asymmetric, independently operating damping circuits mean compression and rebound can be dialled in separately, letting a rider address a specific handling characteristic — mid-corner stability, braking dive, exit traction — without compromising the other.
DDS Technology in Daily Use
The Direct Damping System is not purely a racing solution. For riders covering a mix of spirited road riding and occasional track outings, the 30-click adjustment range is genuinely practical: soften compression for a longer motorway run, then firm everything back up before hitting a circuit. The anti-cavitation design ensures that even hard, repeated braking events — the kind that stress a standard fork cartridge most — produce no fade or inconsistency in fork response. The spring package (36-260 series, supplied as 3 pairs) supports a broad range of rider weights, reducing the need for additional spring purchases. Recommended baseline settings — 16 compression clicks, 18 rebound clicks, 10 mm preload — give a sensible starting point straight out of the box.
