DescriptionThe whole story▼
Engineered for riders who demand precise, race-derived fork performance, the K-Tech 25IDS Open Cartridge Kit transforms the standard Ducati Panigale V2 955 fork into a fully tuneable, track-ready suspension platform. With independent damping control, aircraft aluminium construction and a class-leading adjustment range, this kit delivers the kind of chassis feedback that separates fast lap times from great ones.
Key Features
- 25 mm Independent Damping System (25IDS) provides genuinely separate compression and rebound circuits — adjust one without affecting the other for precise mid-corner and braking setup
- 24 clicks of independent compression adjustment and 30 clicks of independent rebound adjustment give an exceptionally wide tuning range for road, track day and race use
- 18 mm preload adjustment range allows rider-specific spring loading without tools, dialling in ride height and chassis balance
- Increased stroke versus the original Ducati cartridge improves suspension compliance and suspension travel headroom under race conditions
- Aircraft-grade aluminium construction, hard-anodised and super-finished on all critical surfaces, ensures long-term reliability even under sustained track abuse
- Direct fit for Ducati Panigale V2 955 model years 2020–2024; springs from the 36-260 series ordered separately to match rider weight and intended use
Performance & Build Quality
The 25IDS architecture at the heart of this cartridge kit is the same principle used in K-Tech's top-level competition products. By isolating the compression and rebound damping circuits within a 25 mm inner diameter cartridge body, the system allows a suspension technician — or an experienced rider — to make targeted adjustments that have predictable, measurable effects on chassis behaviour. There is no interaction between the circuits, which means setup changes are clean and repeatable whether you are chasing a qualifying lap or dialling in comfort for a long road journey.
The cartridge measures 682.5 mm in overall length with a 125 mm stroke — notably longer than the factory item — which increases usable suspension travel and keeps the Panigale's geometry more consistent under heavy braking. The oil/air cap sits at a suggested 145 mm, with a suggested baseline of 14 compression clicks and 18 rebound clicks, plus 8 mm of preload as a starting point. All suggested settings are provided as a proven baseline; the wide click range means significant fine-tuning is available on either side.
Hard anodising and a super-finished surface treatment on all internal components reduce friction and eliminate the micro-pitting that degrades standard fork internals over time. The result is a fork that feels as precise at the end of a track session as it did on the first lap.
Fitment & Compatibility
This cartridge kit is designed specifically for the Ducati Panigale V2 955 produced between 2020 and 2024. Installation by an authorised K-Tech Service Centre is recommended to ensure correct assembly, oil fill and baseline setup. Matching fork springs from the K-Tech 36-260 series must be ordered separately — the appropriate spring rate is determined by rider weight and intended use.
