DescriptionThe whole story▼

For the returning CBR 600 RR, the JP CO HO057 replaces the combined throttle housing and right-hand switch block with a single milled Ergal body.

Key Features

  • Honda CBR 600 RR (2024–2026)
  • Integrated right-hand switch block
  • Machined from a single block of Ergal 7075
  • Black anodised
  • Plug-and-play on the original connector
  • Replaces housing and switch together

The Supersport Class Reopened

Honda withdrew the 600 RR from Europe in 2016 and brought it back in 2024 with winglets, an IMU and Euro 5+ compliance. It is a considerable investment in a category most manufacturers had abandoned, and the bike arrived with electronics the original never had.

Why the Two Parts Are One

Honda builds the right-hand switches into the throttle housing on this generation, as it does on the litre bike. There is no way to renew one without the other, which makes an aftermarket unit covering both a reasonable proposition rather than an extravagance.

A Sensor, Not a Cable

The new 600 RR uses a throttle-by-wire system, so the housing holds a position sensor. Play in the assembly translates directly into imprecision in what the ECU reads, which is an argument for a body machined from solid rather than moulded and clipped.

A Cockpit Worth Building

Nothing on a 2024 motorcycle has worn out yet. This part goes on because the owner is specifying the cockpit deliberately, usually alongside rearsets and levers, at the point where every visible component is being chosen rather than accepted.

Black Anodised, Sealed Inside

One finish, and sealed switch elements within the machined body. On a bike that will spend weekends at circuits being washed hot, the sealing matters considerably more than the colour.

A Class Honda Reopened

Most manufacturers left the supersport category when Euro 4 made it uneconomic. Honda's return in 2024 with winglets, an IMU and a full electronics package was a considerable bet, and the machines are going to riders who intend to use them properly rather than to collectors.

What Has to Come Off

The grip and bar-end weight, then the complete original assembly. The new housing goes on in reverse using Honda's own connector, and nothing has to be spliced or coded. It is straightforward work with hand tools.
