The Clamp Decides, Not the Model
Two mounting arrangements are in circulation and this one puts both bolts in line. Which a motorcycle takes depends on the master cylinder fitted to it rather than on anything printed in the registration document.
A New Generation, a New Part
Ducati changed the handlebar hardware with the 2025 redesign, so a block made for the earlier bike will not serve. It is the kind of assumption that costs an afternoon rather than a return.
Load Spread Across the Tube
A cut clamp meets a twenty-two millimetre bar across its whole radius instead of at a handful of high points. That is why a machined block does not gradually rotate on the handlebar the way a moulded one can.
Over Centre
What a rider feels through a glove is the instant a switch snaps past its detent. Machined travel delivers that cleanly where a flexing plastic shell absorbs part of it before the hand notices.
Fasteners in Cut Aluminium
The screws run into machined threads rather than into a moulded boss. They can be torqued properly and undone repeatedly without the housing surrendering before the fastener does.
Parked Water Is the Problem
Rain at speed largely blows past. Water that settles in a joint while the bike stands overnight has hours to work inward, which is where a body with no joint pulls decisively ahead.
A New Bike, Not an Update
Ducati redesigned the Panigale for 2025 with a new front frame, a conventional swingarm and reworked aerodynamics. The handlebar hardware changed with it.
Two Hundred and Sixteen Horsepower
From the current Stradale, found while meeting tighter emissions. That second half of the problem is increasingly the harder one to solve.
Flex, on Purpose
The new frame is deliberately less laterally stiff, because racing data showed a controlled amount of give improves feel at full lean. It reverses thirty years of assumption.
