DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Kawasaki Ninja 250SL was a light, single-cylinder sports bike sold from 2015 to 2017, popular with new riders and those who enjoy a nimble, economical machine. Accossato lists its AGPA77 pad in the Organic mixture for the Ninja 250SL in both front and rear positions. It is the gentle, long-lasting option for riders who use the bike for commuting and weekend rides and want quiet, progressive brakes that spare the discs.

  • No ABE on file; for racing

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato claims two main qualities for this compound: long service life and limited disc wear. For a Ninja 250SL, which is often bought as an economical everyday machine, those qualities help keep running costs low. Accossato adds its general promise that the pads resist fade by limiting heat while still stopping firmly. The organic material is carried on the standard AGPA77 plate.

A Light Bike in the City

The Ninja 250SL is light and slim, which makes it a good city bike. Filtering through traffic, stopping at lights and parking all require gentle, controlled braking. An organic pad bites softly from cold and stays quiet, making the bike easy to ride in stop-and-go traffic.

Since the Ninja 250SL is now several years old, it is worth checking the whole brake system when fitting new pads. Look at the calipers for corrosion, check that the pistons move freely and inspect the brake hoses for cracks. Replace the fluid if you do not know when it was last changed, and bed the new pads in with some gentle stops.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's list includes AGPA77 for the Ninja 250SL of 2015 to 2017, and the same plate serves both the front and the rear caliper. Accossato also catalogues its DK271 disc for this model. A box contains the pair for one caliper, so if both brakes need renewing, order two. Hold the new pads against the old ones before fitting, as small differences are easy to miss.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or German test certificate for AGPA77OR. It is sold for competition use.
