DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Superleggera V4 is one of the rarest Panigales: a limited, numbered edition with a carbon fibre frame, swingarm and wheels. Owners of a bike like this think twice before changing anything on it. A brake lever is one of the few parts that can be exchanged and later returned to original without a trace. The Accossato EDF099, listed for the Panigale V4 Superleggera of 2020 and 2021, fits its original master cylinder and offers adjustable reach, three lengths and seven colours.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the Panigale V4 Superleggera, 2020 to 2021
- Fits the original master cylinder, so the change can be undone
- Reach adjustment close to the pivot
- Standard length about 138 mm; short and long blades in selected colours
- Black hub; blade in black, blue, red, orange, gold, silver or green
- CNC-machined from solid aluminium, anodised
- Fixed lever, no folding joint
- No German ABE documented, for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato mills the EDF099 from a single piece of aluminium and anodises it, the hub in black and the blade in the colour you order. There is no articulated section and no painted surface, and the adjuster close to the pivot sets the distance between blade and grip. Because the lever mounts on the original master cylinder, the Superleggera's own braking hardware remains exactly as Ducati built it; only the part your fingers touch changes, and the stock one can go back on at any time.
A Reversible Change
On a limited edition, originality has value. When you fit the EDF099, keep the Ducati lever in a labelled bag with the bike's documents, so it can go back on before a sale or a show. In the meantime, the Accossato lever lets you set the reach to your own hands, which matters on a bike that is likely to see a circuit now and then. The colour is a matter of taste: a black blade keeps the cockpit understated next to all that carbon, silver or gold could pick up metal details elsewhere on the bike, and red makes a direct link to Ducati's racing colour. Whatever you choose, the decision stays yours, and it can be undone in about the time it took to make. On a Superleggera, that is the kind of modification that makes sense.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF099 for the Superleggera V4 of 2020 and 2021, where it takes the place of the original brake lever on the stock master cylinder. The same lever reference appears on Accossato's list for other Panigale models too, but for the Superleggera there is no Accossato clutch lever, so the left side of the bar stays original.
Road Approval
Documentation of a German ABE does not exist for this lever, so we list it as a track component.
Scope of Delivery
One brake lever in its Accossato box; blade colour and length as chosen when ordering.
