DescriptionThe whole story▼

The CY043 is the 19x20 version of Accossato's painted radial brake master cylinder, built around the same 19 mm piston used on the 19x18 CY042 but with the pivot moved out to 20 mm, which shortens the lever stroke needed for full braking force at the cost of needing more hand strength; Accossato does not recommend this geometry for everyday street use. This listing is finished in black paint, with a black Revolution lever fitted.

Key Features

  • 19 mm piston diameter for dual-disc front brake systems
  • 20 mm lever pivot, quicker stroke, not recommended for street use
  • Revolution lever in black, length adjustable by adding or removing inserts
  • Forged and painted body in black
  • CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
  • Offset riser that limits body flex under hard braking
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals in Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

This body is forged in aluminium, CNC-machined and painted black, with stainless steel mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals fitted to it afterwards. An offset riser built into the clamp resists the body flexing under a hard stop, and the internal bore is shaped so the lever's passive travel is cut by more than half against an ordinary radial master cylinder.

A Quicker Pivot for Track Use

Setting the pivot at 20 mm rather than the more common 18 mm shortens how far the lever has to travel before the brake reaches full force, but it also increases the hand effort needed for the same result, which is why Accossato points this geometry at track and competition riding rather than the road. The black Revolution lever's reach can still be adjusted with inserts, independently of this pivot setting. Because the lever's reach is tuned with inserts, this 19x20 cylinder, like the 19x18 CY042, ships as a single SKU per colour rather than in separate long and short listings.

Fitment and Compatibility

65 motorcycles are confirmed for the CY043, the same sportbike-led list as the 19x18 version, including the Aprilia RSV4 FR, BMW K1600 GTL, Ducati Panigale 1299, Kawasaki ZX-10RR and Suzuki GSX-S1000GT; the Fitment tab has the complete list with model years. This 19x20 cylinder with the Revolution lever is also sold with blue, green, red, silver and fluorescent yellow painted bodies. Riders moving from the 18 mm CY042 to this 20 mm unit should expect a shorter but noticeably firmer lever stroke for the same stopping force.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 19x20 radial brake master cylinder with the black Revolution lever, in the black painted body finish. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included.
