DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a machine like the Triumph BONNEVILLE T100 the discs are part of the design, not just part of the chassis. The reference is the N007 - 39.0 mm of friction height over 101.5 mm of length, on the Nissin fitment the BONNEVILLE T100 uses. For the Triumph BONNEVILLE T100 that means EX Race: race-level heat resistance without race-level disc wear.
Key Features
- Ceramic sintering rather than a resin binder, so there is nothing in the N007 to cook out at the top of the range
- Machined, not moulded: the N007 plate is cut to the Nissin outline rather than pressed to an approximate one
- Tested and specified for the 2005 to 2026 model years of the Triumph BONNEVILLE T100, not extrapolated from a neighbouring year
- Wear stays even across the 101.5 mm of friction face rather than concentrating at the leading edge
- The ceramic layer is sintered to the plate rather than pressed against it, which is what keeps the N007 together at the top of its temperature range
- The Nissin caliper spreads under peak pressure; the N007 plate is cut stiff enough to keep the friction face flat while it does
Construction and Material Quality
The Triumph BONNEVILLE T100 pad is made the way ZCOO makes its competition references. The ceramic content is what lets the N007 form a protective film on a BONNEVILLE T100 disc instead of abrading it. It is also why ZCOO can quote fade resistance beyond 600 degrees for the N007 without qualifying it.
Performance and Feel
The initial bite of the N007 in EX Race is measured rather than sharp. The harder EXC Endurance mixture bit sooner and lasted longer, but asked considerably more of a BONNEVILLE T100 disc than the N007 in EX Race does. And the N007 does it without making the BONNEVILLE T100 feel like a race bike in traffic.
Fitment and Compatibility
ZCOO's fitment data gives the N007 for the BONNEVILLE T100 built between 2005 and 2026. ZCOO lists no rear pad for the BONNEVILLE T100. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 101.5 mm length and 39.0 mm height. The same N007 shape covers 70 further machines in the 2026 catalogue.
Road Approval
No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
