Individual parts let a workshop replace only what is worn. Öhlins keeps tooling for older units, which is why parts remain available. Ordering by number from the exploded view is the reliable way to get the right piece.

Why the Original

Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 21717-05. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Service parts are what make an Öhlins unit worth rebuilding rather than replacing. This part comes from the same production line as the components it is fitted to.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21717-05

Category: Service Parts

Finish: Grey

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21717-05_4523497e-4570-48d0-840d-15c75b379adc.png?v=1788880134
