DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 034 removes the S1000RR's secondary air solenoid from the circuit and keeps the display clear.
Key Features
- BMW S1000RR (2009–2026)
- Takes the secondary air solenoid out of the circuit
- No warning on the instrument panel
- Plugs into BMW's own connector
- Nothing cut, nothing spliced
- Standard valve refits at any time
What the Valve Does
Opens a path from the airbox into the exhaust ports on a closed throttle so unspent fuel finishes burning there. It lowers a measured figure and changes nothing a rider notices.
Coil Continuity
BMW checks the winding at every ignition cycle. A missing valve is electrically identical to a broken wire, and the instrument panel says so from then on.
Emulated, Not Bridged
The expected resistance is presented rather than the pins shorted. One produces silence and the other produces a different warning.
Where the Crackle Comes From
Residue burning in the header on a trailing throttle, not resonance in the silencer. A freer exhaust makes it louder and never removes it.
A World Superbike Title
BMW took the riders' championship with the S1000RR in 2024, nearly two decades after entering the class. The road bike has underpinned that programme throughout.
Before the Dyno
Air entering after combustion corrupts every reading a run produces, and every fuelling decision taken afterwards inherits the error.
One Plug
BMW's own connector with no adapters and nothing cut anywhere in the loom.
The Electronics Suite
Traction control, wheelie control, slide control and engine braking, all fed by a six-axis platform. None of it depends on the secondary air circuit.
Only Half the System
The reed housings stay on the cylinder head until the covers are fitted as well.
Homologation
Where secondary air forms part of the approval, removing it makes the motorcycle a competition machine.
Sold in Enormous Numbers
The S1000RR undercut the established superbikes at launch and has stayed competitive ever since, which means more of them exist than of almost any rival. That is why the aftermarket for the model is as deep as it is.
