DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 010 deletes the air injection solenoid on the 1050 Adventure without leaving a warning on the display.
Key Features
- KTM 1050 Adventure (2015–2016)
- Deletes the secondary air solenoid
- Keeps the warning off the display
- Fits the original plug
- Nothing cut, nothing spliced
- Standard parts refit at any time
The Valve Under the Tank
An electrically opened solenoid feeds fresh air into the exhaust ports whenever the throttle closes. It sits above the engine, out of sight, doing nothing for how the bike runs.
What the Controller Measures
Coil resistance, at every ignition cycle. Pull the plug and the reading goes to infinity, which the controller reads as a broken circuit.
An Emulator, Not a Bridge
This unit answers with the resistance the controller expects. A wire loop across the pins gives the wrong figure and produces a different fault instead of no fault.
The Cheapest LC8 Travel Bike
KTM softened the 1190 to reach a lower price and a lower power figure. It sold for two seasons and it remains the least expensive way into the big twin chassis.
Ninety-Five Horsepower
From 1050 cc, with cast wheels and a nineteen inch front. Slower than everything above it in the range and considerably easier to ride quickly.
Crackle on the Overrun
Injected air burns leftover fuel in the header, which is where the noise comes from. Owners blame the exhaust and change it; the sound stays until the air stops.
After an Aftermarket System
An open pipe makes the same combustion far louder. Deleting the injection is what quiets it, not another baffle.
No Diagnostic Afterwards
The circuit is satisfied rather than silenced, so nothing is stored and no dealer visit is needed to clear anything.
Not the Whole System
The reed housing stays on the cylinder head unless the cover is fitted as well. This part addresses the electrical side only.
Homologation
Air injection is part of the bike's approval. Removing it makes the motorcycle a competition machine in every European market.
