DescriptionThe whole story▼

On a fully faired superbike the front mudguard is one of very few components visible below the fairing line, which gives it more visual weight than its size suggests. It sits between the fork legs in open air, it is painted rather than moulded in colour, and it is the part a pressure washer is aimed at most often.

Key Features

  • Front mudguard, direct replacement on the standard fork brackets
  • 245 Twill weave in clear coat, matt, raw or twill satin
  • Autoclave-cured laminate, rigid across the unsupported span ahead of the wheel
  • Original fasteners and brackets, no drilling and no spacers
  • Fits the whole 2019-2026 model run

Unsprung and Ahead of the Steering Axis

Weight in front of the steering head and below the spring is the least helpful weight on a motorcycle. The fork has to accelerate it over every ridge, and the steering has to swing it. A few hundred grams removed from this position counts for more than the same saving taken from the tail.

Whether a rider feels it is another question. On a fast, badly surfaced road the front settles marginally sooner between bumps. On a smooth circuit it is imperceptible. Buy the part for how it looks and take the rest as a bonus.

Fitment and Compatibility

BMW S1000RR, model years 2019 through 2026, on the original fork brackets. Machines with aftermarket forks should have the bracket spacing checked before ordering.

Road Approval

Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Treat it as a replacement body panel and confirm the position for your own registration before road use.

The Panel Stones Reach First

Nothing on the motorcycle takes more stone strike, and that should decide the finish ahead of taste. Clear coat records every impact as a bright chip because lacquer fractures paler than the weave beneath it. Matt absorbs the same damage almost invisibly.

Twill satin is worth a look on this article specifically: it is one of the few BMW parts Fullsix offers in that finish, and it holds some depth without the chip-showing gloss of clear coat. Raw is the most durable answer and the least expensive.
