DescriptionThe whole story▼
Most ZX-10RR machines end up on a circuit, and a good number of them never wear a number plate again. PSK3R is built for exactly that bike. Bonamici's race-specification upper fork yoke leaves out the ignition lock entirely — there is no recess for the barrel — which suits a homologation special that is scrutineered rather than parked on a street.
Key Features
- Ignition barrel provision omitted by design, matching the requirement in most race series to remove or disable the lock.
- Machined from solid high-strength aluminium; every clamping surface is cut, not cast.
- Steel-ball micro shot-peening, a compressive surface treatment that extends fatigue life under repeated braking loads.
- Black or silver anodising, chosen for chemical resistance as much as appearance.
- Bonamici Racing part number PSK3R, produced in Italy.
A Clamp for a Bike That Is Already Race-Prepared
The RR arrives from Kawasaki with the internals a racer would otherwise buy, which shifts the useful modifications outward to the chassis. The top clamp is where handlebar position, fork clamping and steering feel meet. Replacing it with a billet component lets a team set the clip-ons to the rider and gives a fork clamp that has been machined to a known tolerance — the sort of detail that stops mattering on a road bike and starts mattering when the front tyre is being asked to work at the edge of grip lap after lap.
Choosing Between PSK3 and PSK3R
One question decides it: will this motorcycle ever need to start with a key in a lock? If yes, the standard clamp is the only option, because the race version physically cannot accept the barrel. If no, PSK3R is lighter, cleaner and costs less.
Fitment and Compatibility
Machined for:
- Kawasaki ZX-10 RR — model years 2021 through 2026
Earlier 2016-2020 machines use PSK1R.
Road Approval
There is no ABE and no Teilegutachten for this yoke, and a motorcycle without a working ignition lock cannot be registered for road use in Germany. Treat PSK3R as a track-only component and keep the standard clamp if the bike is ever ridden on public roads.
