DescriptionThe whole story▼
Since 2020, drivers in Germany can add a 125 to their car licence with the B196 entry, after a course at a riding school but without a separate test. A bike like the CB125R, compact, light and styled like its bigger Neo Sports Café siblings, is a natural choice. For many of these riders, the clutch lever is the part that feels most unfamiliar. The Accossato ESH626 replaces the stock lever of the 2019 and 2020 CB125R with a machined aluminium one whose distance to the grip can be adjusted.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Honda CB125R, 2019 and 2020
- Fitted at the original clutch mounting
- Adjustable reach to place the bite point where your fingers are
- Three blade lengths, the standard about 138 mm
- Colours: silver, black, red, blue, gold, green, orange; black hub
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
- One-piece fixed blade
- Track use only: no German ABE documented
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato makes the ESH626 on CNC machines from aluminium and anodises it in two tones, a black hub and a coloured blade. The hub carries the pivot and the reach adjustment; the blade is solid and firmly attached, without a folding joint. For a rider still learning where the clutch takes up, that constancy helps: the friction zone does not wander from one ride to the next, so the hand can learn it once and rely on it.
From Pedal to Lever
A car driver already understands what a clutch does. The difference on a motorcycle is scale and position. In the car, your left foot works a pedal with a long travel; on the CB125R, a few fingers of your left hand do the same job over a much shorter distance. The friction zone that the foot finds without thinking now sits within a small part of the lever's movement, and at first it seems to arrive suddenly. The remedy is practice with a lever that suits your hand. Move the ESH626 closer to the grip if the bite point comes when your fingers are nearly straight, and further out if they feel cramped. Then, in a quiet car park, let the lever out slowly until the bike just starts to creep, pull it back in, and repeat until your fingers find that point without thinking. The long blade reduces the effort, while the short one suits riders who prefer two fingers. Within a few rides, moving off on the CB125R becomes as automatic as it is in the car.
Fitment and Compatibility
The ESH626 is listed by Accossato for the CB125R of 2019 and 2020, at the original clutch mounting. Its partner on the right is the EDF025 front brake lever, listed for the same two model years. Silver is available in standard and short, black and red in standard only; the remaining colours come in every length.
Road Approval
Please note that the ESH626 has no documented German ABE; we sell it for use on the race track.
