DescriptionThe whole story▼
The R version of the Street Triple 675, introduced in 2009, added adjustable suspension and a sportier specification, and it became a popular choice for track days. On a circuit, braking is about repetition: the same marker, the same pressure, lap after lap, gradually refined. Accossato's EDF035 is a CNC-machined aluminium brake lever for the Street Triple 675 R of 2009 to 2016. It mounts on the original master cylinder, and both its reach and its blade length can be chosen to suit your hand.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the Street Triple 675 R, 2009 to 2016
- Mounts on the original master cylinder
- Adjustable reach near the pivot
- Short blade for two-finger braking in gold, silver, blue, green and orange
- Standard approximately 138 mm in all seven colours
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised, black hub
- Fixed blade, no folding joint
- Accossato box
Construction and Material Quality
The EDF035 is cut from aluminium on CNC machines and anodised in two tones, black for the hub that holds the pivot and reach adjuster, and a colour of your choice for the blade. It is fixed along its whole length, without a folding joint. For track riding that is a practical advantage: the lever's position relative to your fingers is the same in every session, and there is no hinge to loosen after a day of hard braking. The anodised surface also stands up to the handling that comes with trailers, vans and paddock stands.
Braking Markers and Repeatability
Riders who want to improve on track pick a braking marker, a board, a patch of asphalt or the end of a kerb, and move it closer to the corner in small steps as their confidence grows. That only works if everything else stays the same. If the lever sits in a slightly different place each time you reach for it, or the hand has to search for it, the start of your braking varies and the marker loses its meaning. Setting up the EDF035 on the Street Triple 675 R for the track begins in the paddock: race gloves on, sitting in your riding position, bring the blade in until your braking fingers meet it at their first joint while the others stay on the throttle. The short blade supports exactly that grip, because it finishes before the outer two fingers and leaves them free. Once set, leave the lever alone for the day. Change one thing at a time, braking point or pressure, and let the lever be the constant.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF035 for the Street Triple 675 R from 2009 to 2016. The standard Street Triple 675 appears in the list with a different brake lever, the EDF014, so make sure your bike is an R before ordering. The clutch lever Accossato lists for the R across the same years is the EST333.
Road Approval
No German ABE is recorded for the EDF035, and it is sold for track use.
