DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha XVS950 Midnight Star, built between 2009 and 2015, predates the XV950 naming Yamaha later used for the same basic platform, and this Accossato kit fits it with two braided hoses in the Standard-layout positions the factory specified. Cruiser riders covering long, relaxed miles on a Midnight Star still want a lever they can trust without having to think about it, and braided line delivers a more consistent bite than a rubber hose that has had several years to soften. Owners of this earlier-named version sometimes assume no aftermarket parts are still made for it, but Accossato continues to list this hose specifically for the Midnight Star rather than folding it into a newer listing.
Key Features
- Two-hose set covering front and rear brake lines
- Built for the XVS950 Midnight Star, 2009–2015
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Painted stainless steel fittings in red, green, blue, black or gold
- Supplied as a complete braided hose kit under this part number
Construction and Material Quality
Each hose is a stainless braid sheath over the inner line, finished with fittings made from stainless steel, offered painted in five colours or bare. The chrome-heavy styling typical of this model makes a polished-looking bare fitting a natural match, though the full range of braid colours remains available for an owner who wants something different.
An Earlier Name for the Same Platform
Yamaha later sold essentially the same cruiser as the XV950, and Accossato lists that version separately under part AGF9018, but the Midnight Star's own two-hose Standard-layout requirement is identical in concept, just tied to this specific model name and production window.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit fits the Yamaha XVS950 Midnight Star built between 2009 and 2015. For the later XV950 built between 2013 and 2016, Accossato lists the same two-hose configuration under its own part, AGF9018. A workshop unfamiliar with the model-name history of this platform should check the frame plate against Accossato's fitment tab rather than assuming the XV950 part is a direct substitute.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The kit contains 2 braided hoses for the Standard layout. Fittings such as banjo bolts and copper sealing washers are not listed as included, so it is worth checking the connecting hardware already on the bike before starting the job.
