Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Voge Brivido R (2020) CM251S

Sprint Filter lists the Brivido R twice. One line covers 2020 on its own, the next runs from 2021 to 2026, and the same part number sits under both. CM251S is the element either way, and each line carries an identical fitment list. Whatever separates the two entries in the catalogue, it is not the airbox: a machine from the first year takes the dry polyester panel that a machine from the last year takes. Order by the number and by the year in your registration document, and the split stops mattering.

Ordered by number, not by model year

Air filters follow housings, and a housing outlasts the way a price list chooses to divide model years. That is the useful half of the split above: nine Voge listings, from 500 to 625 cm³ and from 2020 to 2026, all arrive at CM251S. Be equally plain about the ceiling. A drop-in element will not make a standard Brivido R noticeably stronger, because airbox, injection and exhaust were signed off as one chain and a panel inside that chain does not rewrite it. What it changes is the restriction the filter itself contributes: low at the start, and returned to low at every clean rather than climbing quietly for years.

Where the low resistance comes from

Not from an opened-up weave. The aperture stays at 80 µm. What Sprint Filter adds is surface, around twice what other performance elements bring, pleated into a box whose dimensions Voge fixed years ago. Area is the honest way to buy flow, because it slows the air passing through any given patch of cloth without asking the cloth to hold back less. The rest of the range shows how narrow that balance is: P14 filters at 14 µm and flows 1,800 l/m²/sec, T12 at 7 µm and 560. Finer holds more and passes less, every time. A trade, not a ladder.

Care and cleaning

The CM251S is serviced instead of replaced. Compressed air, aimed at the clean face so the dirt leaves the way it arrived, covers almost every interval. After a wet and salted winter, wash it in lukewarm water with a mild detergent and rinse until the water runs clear. It dries in moving air at its own speed — never on a radiator, never with a hot air gun or a flame — and it goes back in dry. The maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab.
