Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Ducati Streetfighter V2 (2022–2024) PM127S

Strip the fairing off a Panigale V2 and you change how the engine gets used. A Streetfighter is not ridden at the top of the rev range on a circuit; it is ridden on the roll-on — third gear, out of a corner, throttle open. That is transient work, and transients are where intake restriction is felt rather than measured. The Sprint Filter P08 PM127S is a dry polyester element with roughly double the filtering surface, and it earns its place on exactly the part of the powerband this bike lives in.

Roll-on is a pressure question

When you open the throttle, the engine asks for a step change in airflow and the intake either supplies it promptly or lags behind. The pressure drop across a filter is not a fixed number — it rises with flow, so a partly loaded element costs most at precisely the moment you are asking for everything. The engine management meters fuel to the air that arrives, so nothing feels broken; the drive out of the corner simply softens by an amount that is hard to name and easy to feel. Starting from a lower restriction, and holding it far longer than paper can, is what keeps that response intact.

A road bike loads its filter invisibly

Tarmac dust arrives slowly and evenly rather than in dramatic bursts, which is exactly the pattern that lets a paper element go unnoticed for far too long. There is no warning and no way back — a loaded paper filter stays loaded. This one is washed and returns to its starting restriction.

Care and cleaning

Blow it through from the clean side with compressed air, working outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry.
