It goes into the standard airbox unmodified, so nothing about the intake is altered. And it does not make a standard MT-X 1000 noticeably faster — no drop-in filter does. What it changes is that intake restriction becomes recoverable.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eCare and cleaning\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe ordinary service is compressed air on the clean side, worked outwards, so that the collected material exits the way it came in. For a greasy element, lukewarm water with a little mild detergent does the job, rinsed through until nothing further washes out. Let it dry in moving air at its own speed, never with a heat gun, a radiator or a flame, and refit it dry and untreated.
