Care
The inner surface of a Pinlock insert is softer than a visor and scratches easily. Clean it with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth, dab rather than rub, and never use a dry paper towel. Take the insert out now and then and let visor and insert dry separately, so no moisture stays trapped between them.
Scope of delivery
One clear Pinlock insert, SKU VZ36005PINCTU. The fact sheet lists its weight as 180 g, about the same figure given for the complete RS Jet visors; whether packaging is included in it, Shark does not say. The visor itself is not part of the delivery.
Fitting
The insert is held between two adjustable pins on the inside of the visor. Take the visor off, bend the insert slightly, set one edge behind the first pin and let it spring into the second. The silicone edge must touch the visor all the way round; if it does not, turn the pins slightly until it does.
