ABS is chosen specifically for its resilience against impact and its ability to hold colour and finish over time, so this rear mudguard extension doesn't fade or crack the way cheaper plastics do. At just 86 g, it adds negligible weight while doing a proper job as a rear splash guard and chain splash guard for the areas most exposed to road spray.
Fitting Notes
The extension mounts over the original fender using the screws Puig supplies. Fitting does require drilling holes into the original fender to secure it correctly, so it's worth setting aside proper time for the job or having a workshop fit it.
