DescriptionThe whole story▼
The OZ Cattiva wheel set brings genuine SBK-derived magnesium forging technology to your Honda CBR 1000 RR SP2 SC77, delivering a meaningful reduction in rotating mass that sharpens steering response and agility without demanding any exotic modifications. Developed by the OZ SBK Racing division, the Cattiva is the lightest wheel in the OZ range and a direct bolt-on upgrade for the SC77 SP2 built between 2017 and 2019.
Key Features
- Forged magnesium construction — the lightest wheel OZ produces, purpose-built for track duty
- Reduced rotating mass translates directly into quicker steering, faster direction changes and improved throttle response
- Complete front and rear set, removing the hassle of sourcing individual wheels separately
- Includes high-quality bearings, aluminium angled valves and spacers (fitted where required)
- Rear sprocket carrier included — note that the original Honda rear sprocket is not compatible and must be replaced
- Direct replacement fitment for the SC77 SP2: no modifications to the motorcycle are required
Craftsmanship and Track Performance
Made in Italy to OZ Racing's exacting standards, every Cattiva wheel begins as a billet of aerospace-grade magnesium that is hot-forged under high pressure. The result is an exceptionally rigid yet light structure that maintains its geometry under the lateral loads generated during hard braking and corner entry. The signature Cattiva spoke design was shaped by OZ's SBK engineers to remove every gram of unnecessary material while preserving torsional stiffness — the balance between rigidity and compliance that separates a genuine racing wheel from an imitation.
At track speeds the benefit is immediately felt: reduced gyroscopic inertia lets the CBR 1000 RR SP2 change direction with noticeably less effort, and the lighter unsprung mass allows the suspension to follow the track surface more faithfully, keeping the tyres in optimal contact through undulations and bumps.
Everyday Usability and Value
While the Cattiva's heritage is firmly on the circuit, the set is equally rewarding for the rider who visits the track a handful of times a season but still wants the best available equipment on the road. The direct-fit design means installation is straightforward for any competent workshop, and the complete package — wheels, bearings, valves and sprocket carrier — means there are no hidden additional parts to source. Buying the set as a pair rather than individual wheels also represents better overall value, and the three available finishes allow you to match the aesthetic of your CBR without compromise.
Fitment and Compatibility
This wheel set fits exclusively the Honda CBR 1000 RR SC77 SP2, model years 2017, 2018 and 2019. It is not compatible with standard (non-SP2) SC77 variants or any other CBR 1000 RR generation. Please verify your model designation before ordering. The original Honda rear sprocket is not compatible with the included sprocket carrier; a replacement sprocket must be fitted.
